Responsibilities:
• Develop and establish manufacturing processes for new forging products from concept to production.
• Lead New Product Development (NPD) activities, including feasibility studies, APQP documentation, and production readiness.
• Create and maintain PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, SOPs, Work Instructions, and process documentation.
• Develop 2D & 3D models and manufacturing drawings using Creo (preferred).
• Design and validate forging processes, tooling, and manufacturing sequences for cold/hot forging operations.
• Conduct Time & Motion Studies, line balancing, capacity analysis, and cycle time reduction initiatives.
• Drive Continuous Improvement through Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, VAVE, and productivity enhancement projects.
• Support equipment installation, commissioning, process validation, production trials, and manufacturing ramp-up.
• Analyze manufacturing issues using 8D, RCA, 5 Why, and implement effective corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Design, Production, Quality, Tool Room, and Supplier teams to ensure successful product launches.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Metallurgical Engineering.
• 3–7 years of experience in Forging Process Engineering, preferably in Cold, Warm, or Hot Forging.
• Strong hands-on experience in NPD, APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Validation, and Manufacturing Engineering.
• Proficiency in Creo for 3D & 2D modeling (NX/CATIA experience can also be considered).
• Experience in Tooling Development, Process Optimization, Cycle Time Reduction, and Capacity Planning.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and cross-functional coordination skills.
